HunTracK is designed as an offline-first application. Most information you create and manage within the App remains stored locally on your device. When weather or online map services are used, your location coordinates may be transmitted directly to those service providers. ### Audio Recordings If you choose to use recording features, the App may record audio using your device's microphone. Recordings are created by you and stored locally on your device unless you choose to move or share them. ### Emergency Profile You may optionally create an emergency profile containing information such as: * Name * Emergency contacts * Medical conditions * Allergies * Other emergency information you choose to enter This information is stored locally on your device. ### User Content The App stores information you create, including: * GPS routes and tracks * Map markers * Notes * Calendar entries * Hunting permissions * Boundaries * Settings * Other application data This information remains stored on your device. ### Device Permissions HunTracK may request access to: * Precise Location * Approximate Location * Microphone * Internet * Biometric Authentication (optional) These permissions are only used to provide the features you choose to use. --- # 3. How We Use Information The information processed by HunTracK is used solely to provide the App's functionality, including: * Displaying maps and navigation. * Recording GPS routes and tracks. * Providing weather information. * Recording and playing audio. * Saving hunting information and notes. * Protecting access to emergency profile editing. * Storing your preferences and settings. We do not use your information for advertising or behavioural profiling. --- # 4. Where Your Data Is Stored HunTracK is designed to work primarily without cloud services. Most information created while using the App remains stored locally on your device. HunTracK does not require user accounts and does not operate servers for storing your personal information. If you use features that require online services, limited information may be transmitted directly to the relevant third-party service. --- # 5. Third-Party Services HunTracK uses third-party services only where necessary to provide requested functionality. These may include: ### Open-Meteo Used to provide weather forecasts. When weather features are used, your location coordinates may be sent to Open-Meteo so that weather data can be returned. ### Map Tile Providers HunTracK may retrieve map tiles from providers such as: * OpenFreeMap * OpenTopoMap * Esri Your approximate location may be inferred from the map tiles requested. ### Optional Downloads If available, optional audio packs or other downloadable content may be retrieved from online sources when requested by you. --- # 6. What We Do Not Do HunTracK currently: * Does **not** sell your personal information. * Does **not** display third-party advertising. * Does **not** use advertising identifiers. * Does **not** use analytics or tracking SDKs. * Does **not** require cloud accounts. * Does **not** synchronise your information with our own servers. --- # 7. Biometric Authentication HunTracK may allow you to protect editing of your emergency profile using your device's biometric authentication. Biometric authentication is handled entirely by the Android operating system. HunTracK does **not** collect, receive, store or process your fingerprint, facial recognition data, or any other biometric identifiers. --- # 8. Security We take reasonable measures to protect your information. Features such as emergency profile editing may be protected using a PIN and optional biometric authentication provided by Android. While we aim to keep your information secure, no method of electronic storage or transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure. --- # 9. Your Choices You remain in control of your information. You can: * Revoke permissions through your Android device settings. * Delete recordings, tracks, notes, markers, or emergency profile information within the App where supported. * Clear the App's data using Android settings. * Uninstall HunTracK to remove locally stored application data from your device. --- # 10. Children's Privacy HunTracK is not intended for children under the age of 13, or the minimum age required under applicable law. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. --- # 11. Data Protection Where applicable, we process information only as necessary to provide the functionality of HunTracK. Because the App is designed primarily for local, offline use, most information remains under your control on your own device until you delete it. Depending on your location, you may have rights under applicable privacy laws, including rights relating to access, correction, and deletion of your information.
